After Sunday morning services in a Boston church, a woman stayed to chat with a friend, leaving her purse on the seat. When she returned for her purse, it was gone, but she found it to be in the possession of the pastor himself.

 

“I thought I better hold it,” he said. “You must remember that there are some in the congregation so simple that they might consider it an answer to prayer.”
